I’m Gareth McNicol, a software engineering leader with 23 years’ experience building systems and leading teams across fintech, lending, data platforms, cloud-native systems and AI workflows.
I focus on the practical risks that make software initiatives harder than expected: unclear ownership, unnecessary complexity, weak assumptions, fragile integrations, poor sequencing and systems that are possible to build but difficult to live with.
